The Pocket Assistant 4.0 results from different technologies that are seamlessly integrated to provide a powerful and profitable tool for operators in manufacturing systems.
It relies on the Intelligent Personal Assistant SOPHOS-MS © that is able to interact with the user searching for information and managing requests based on an interactive artificial intelligence model.
The speed of response ensures immediate contents fruition including access to 3D models, voice assistance, videos, photos and videos, virtual and interactive guides on intervention and maintenance procedures. Thus it makes complex human-machine interaction procedures easier and more effective.
The user interface is customizable in terms of functions and contents thanks to a highly scalable and modular underlying architecture.

Intelligent Personal Assistant
SOPHOS-MS © is an Intelligent Personal Assistant able to answer to oral questions such as “who”, “how”, “where”, “when”, “why”, etc. and to enhance human-machine interaction. Indeed the operator can access at any time the digital handbook of the machine or use SOPHOS-MS © to access specific machine contents (technical drawings, specifications, procedures, etc.).
“Real Machine” Mode
It is related to the use of the application in the real production system to support, for example, the execution of maintenance operations or, instead, to enable problems resolution with remote assistance (i.e.for plants and delocalized machines). The mobile device (tablet or smartphone) provides Augmented Reality contents and allows the operator to access different functionalities including interactive virtual environments, videos, photos as well as the vocal interaction with the SOPHOS-MS © Assistant though a question &answer approach.
“Virtual Reality” Mode
The “Virtual Reality” operating mode has been designed and developed to support operators’ training. Augmented Reality and Interactive Virtual Reality allow explaining complex maintenance concepts and procedures in a simple and intuitive way taking into account safety procedures and safety issues. The SOPHOS-MS Assistant provides a simplified access to information contents.
